Why Psychotherapy

When you feel stuck and like there is little hope for change this is when psychotherapy can help. Current circumstances can often stir up past memories and ways of being and it is often difficult to make sense of these alone leaving you feel stuck and confused.

During regular weekly sessions you will be encouraged to reflect on whatever is on your mind – memories, feelings, thoughts, wishes, fears and dreams and these can be explored to bring about new perspectives. Many difficulties remain unconscious and are often linked to our early experience and relationships and repeated throughout our lives. These early patterns of relating often arise in the therapeutic relationship and can be talked about and understood in new ways thus bringing about change and a greater self-awareness.
