About me
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 25 years experience working with a wide range of people and their difficulties. I am a member of the Arbours Association of Psychotherapists, registered with the UKCP.
I initially trained as a counsellor at Westminster Pastoral Foundation in the late 1980’s while working as a bereavement counsellor for Wandsworth Bereavement Service in south London. I then went on to train as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with the Arbours Association. On completion I gained a post as a psychotherapist in the NHS working in a hospital outpatients department in Surrey where I worked for 15 years. Alongside this I also maintained a private practice. I currently have consulting rooms in central Bristol.
As part of my commitment to professional development I regularly attend CPD workshops and conferences. I have also completed further training with the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA) and trained in Mentalization-based Treatment (MBT) for people with Borderline Personality Disorder at the Anna Freud Centre in London.
